Cautions
An exercise program should begin with a visit to the veterinarian to assess general health and to set up an exercise program that will not cause muscle strain or pain. Be sure to start slowly; increase the frequency and intensity of activities with care. While exercise is vital in any program diving into a vigorous exercise program can tax underused muscles and place undue stress on the heart and lungs.
